With high school graduation rates increasing, and students planning for a future in an ever-changing economy, career mentorship vital for student success (Toronto Foundation’s Vital Signs special report, 2024). In collaboration with Zurich Canada and the Z Zurich Foundation, JA Central Ontario’s Career Accelerator is empowering the next generation with the skills, mindset and connections to build a future that works for them.
The Career Accelerator is a two-year learning experience, during which students benefit from a variety of exciting events, programs, scholarships and internship opportunities. The program, now on its second cohort of students, builds self-confidence, critical thinking, networking and so much more – all the skills students need to thrive in the modern world of work.
Key to the Career Accelerator’s success is the inspiring culture of volunteerism at Zurich Canada. Volunteers from the Zurich team are at the heart of every Career Accelerator event and opportunity. They bring learning to life by sharing their stories: successes, failures, career paths and more.
