Please Note: we are currently unable to send volunteers into the classroom due to the COVID-19 restrictions. In the event that you are required to complete the police screening process, you will first be contacted by a JA Central Ontario staff member.

If you are volunteering at a school in Toronto, Etobicoke, North York or Scarborough, additional screening is required. You will need to complete a Police Vulnerable Sector Check and apply through the police service in the region where you live.

If you have submitted a police record check to JA Central Ontario within the past 12 months, you are only required to complete an annual offence declaration. Pease contact your JA representative for more information.

JA Central Ontario covers costs associated with obtaining a police record check.
