Instructions to Apply in Innisfil or Bradford

• Request an authorization form. We need to sign the form and send the original copy to you.
• If your application asks for a volunteer letter, please click here to download this letter. If you need something with more details, please reach out to your JA contact.
• Please let your JA Contact know once you have submitted your application.
• Application costs $20 – Instructions for reimbursement or tax receipt will be provided by your JA contact when your screening is returned to JA. Please keep a copy of your receipt.
• You can complete the online application here, and your final electronic results will be sent via email.

Instructions to Apply in Barrie (Barrie Residents Only)

• Ensure you complete the application for the Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Please download the JA volunteer letter and have two pieces of identification with you: one must be government issued and include your name, date of birth, signature and photo. You will need these during the online application process
• Please let your JA Contact know once you have submitted your application.
• You can click here to complete an online application, and your final electronic results will be sent via email.

Return the original police vulnerable sector check to ja central ontario

• JA Central Ontario will not be notified of the results of your Police Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Results will be shared either by email or by mail, depending on your region and selected delivery method.
• Your vulnerable sector check needs to be emailed to your JA Central Ontario contact once you receive it in the mail/email.
• You will not be eligible to volunteer if we do not have the original document before your scheduled volunteer day.
