Online learning FAQ
We answer your questions about our digital programs!
JA Central Ontario’s digital programs are online courses that give students in Grades 3 to 12 the opportunity to learn all about finances, work-readiness and entrepreneurship. There are 6 programs in total – each aimed at a different age group and aligned with the school curriculum.
There are two delivery models: self-directed and teacher-led. Each program lasts 2 to 4 hours and provides expert guidance so students can learn all about finances, the world of work and how to start their own business.
These programs support the curriculum and help learners develop and build on skills they are taught in the classroom – giving them the tools to succeed in work and life!
Students can sign up directly (parent or guardian required for students under 13) and they will then have access to an online tool that guides them through the program. The program includes videos and interactive elements and provides expert information.
Teacher-led: Teachers will need to share their screen with the students so they can see the presentation. The teacher will then go through the program material with the students. Students are be able to have a class discussion and answer questions throughout the program. This means teachers need to set a time slot for students to log on with them.
For student-led programs, each student will create their account so they can track their own program completion. Students can login multiple times to complete the program.
