We're pleased to announce that Quinn, a grade 11 students from Abbey Park High School has won JA Central Ontario’s latest Titan Challenge, sponsored by Desjardins. In this unique competition, high school students compete to set up and run a successful business in this virtual simulation. Through this online, interactive experience, students in grades 9-12 learn all about the fundamentals of creating a real business, becoming CEO of their own company and must create a business strategy and strive to succeed in a highly competitive industry.

“The JA Titan Competition is a great way to engage students, such as myself, who are interested in the day-to-day responsibilities and operations of a CEO”, says Quinn. “I found success by trusting my instincts to make difficult decisions and overcome investing, marketing, and pricing challenges. I would recommend all business courses to include this competition into their curriculum, as it is an amazing opportunity for students to expand their knowledge and have fun.”

Titan is a unique learning experience and online competition that helps students explore the world of business. Through this business simulator, students make key business choices such as critical production, staffing and capital investment decisions. Students learn how to solve marketing and pricing challenges, understand how to lead a successful business and create and achieve business goals.
