JA Central Ontario can accept publicly-traded securities, including shares, bonds or mutual fund units.

When you donate publicly-traded securities to JA Central Ontario, they are exempt from the capital gains tax, and you can give the full value of your securities. That means we receive a greater donation, and you receive a greater tax benefit.

A charitable donation receipt for income tax purposes will be issued based on the fair market value of the securities on the date the securities are received into JA Central’s brokerage account.
