About the event

Building on the theme of International Women's Day 2021 - 'Choose to Challenge' - the event focused on empowering attendees to challenge the status quo and create rewarding, inspiring careers - making positive changes for themselves and those around them.

Our fantastic emcee, Celina Caesar-Chavannes, brought together expert speakers and career mentors to showcase a range of opportunities for young women.

Students heard from expert speakers including Olympian and Financial Advisor, Megan Lukan, and Canada’s Youngest Social Entrepreneurs, Fatima and Amna Sultan.

We were also joined by Siobhan Byron, SVP, Technology Enabled Managed Services at Finastra, and Linda Passarelli, Vice President, Talent Management, Fidelity Canada - each speaker shared their tips for building a rewarding career.

Students also connected with career mentors from our partner organizations to help them learn more about the real world of work and how to plan their unique career path.

During the event, students visited our online Career Marketplace where they discovered the endless career opportunities ahead of them.
