2026 Social Media Challenge
What is the Social Media Challenge?
- A chance for your team to collect points for the Team Challenge Award, demonstrate your creativity and promote your team on social media!
- The Social Media Challenge will take place over two weeks from February 2 to 13, 2026.
How it works:
- There are 8 challenges in total. Each challenge is provided in advance so that you have time to prepare them.
Follow these two steps to submit:
Submissions must be made by completing the following two steps for each challenge in order to receive the points.
- Upload to the Dropbox link we provide for each challenge (different link for each challenge).
- You will have until 11:59PM the day of the challenge to submit your entry on Dropbox. For example, Monday's challenge will be due by Monday at 11:59PM.
- Post and tag us on Instagram @JACOcompanyprogram (required) and TikTok @JACentralON (optional)
- Posts should be made through your student company social media account (not a personal account).
- You must post the challenge on Instagram (+any other channels your team has) by 11:59PM on the day of the challenge. Make sure you tag us on Instagram and TikTok so that we can re-post!
Team Challenge Points:
- 10 points will be awarded for each challenge completed by the deadline. One entry per challenge per team is allowed. Only those who complete both steps indicated above will receive the points. Some days there will be bonus points for additional efforts.
- *Bonus Points* Extra 10 points will be given for teams that participate in ALL challenges.
- *NOTE* If you missed the deadline but still want to complete the challenge, you will receive 5 points if posted and received by February 13! So if you miss a day, you can still submit!
Important Reminders:
- Be professional and respectful at all times – any submissions and/or online engagements that do not follow our JA guidelines will be disqualified from the Team Challenge and could potentially jeopardize your applications for other group awards and/or your participation in Company Program. This includes any misconduct we find or are notified of on social media pertaining to these challenges (i.e. inappropriate/disrespectful comments, language, actions, etc.) Make sure you are supportive of other teams as well!
- Do not post full names of students, advisors or anyone online.
- Do not include photos/images of students, advisors or anyone without their consent. Please check in with your advisor to confirm if there are any students that do not have photo/media consent.
- Collaborate, get creative and have fun!

Challenge #1 | TEAM MASCOT
Monday, February 2

Challenge: Design a team mascot for your Company Program business. Use your creativity to come up with a team mascot design that is meaningful and represents your team. You can use this mascot throughout your business marketing and sales. (Think about the mascots of well-known businesses that you know of and make sure you give your mascot a name and description!)
Requirements: Make sure your mascot is original!
Remember to only film team members that have given permission and ask your advisors if there are team members that don’t have media consent.

Challenge #2 | COMPANY PROGRAM MEME

Challenge: Create your own Company Program meme! This meme should be Company Program focused and offer your own insights into the Company Program experience in a relatable way.
Requirements: Please make sure your Company Program meme is appropriate to the audience and context - think about how your advisors, customers, colleagues, teachers, parents and potential future employers would feel seeing your meme.

Challenge #3 | SALES PITCH
Wednesday, February 4

Challenge: Create a sales pitch video for your company!
Requirements: Create a 30-second to maximum 1-minute sales pitch video for your product. Must be in video format. (Note: this is separate from your commercial!)

Challenge #4 | #THROWBACKTHURSDAY
Thursday, February 5

Challenge: Share a throwback post that highlights how your company started. This could be early sketches, brainstorming notes, first prototypes or clips from your first few meetings.
Requirements: This can be in graphic or video format - up to you!

Challenge: Capture your team’s creative process, 15-second maximum. Examples: Production timelapse, packaging, website building, brainstorming or anything behind-the-scenes.
Requirements: Must be in video format.

Challenge: Create a short vlog to share a glimpse into your life as Company Program students! Vlogs are often informal, personal and conversational - like a video diary (e.g. "day in the life").

Challenge: Put your own twist to a social media trend and highlight your company/team.
