Anthony Boright: How One Voice Sparks Possibilities
This National Volunteer Week, we celebrate all dedicated individuals who ignite our mission and empower the next generation through their time, leadership and knowledge.
For the past eight years, Anthony Boright has been one of those leaders.
After first joining JA Central Ontario as a classroom volunteer, Anthony went on to serve as Chair and now continues to support the organization as a member of the Board of Directors.
“Anyone with a platform–whether it’s 100 followers or a million–and a cause they believe in, should use it to share why it matters.”
Anthony embodies what it means to ignite volunteerism. He's remained a strong advocate for youth empowerment, not only through leadership but by encouraging others to get involved.
Anthony’s belief in early awareness to entrepreneurship, financial literacy and career exploration is deeply rooted in lived experience. Growing up without exposure to different career exploration, he understands the impact this access can have on a young person’s future. Anthony sees volunteerism as a way to help students see the opportunities they may not otherwise encounter.
Through his leadership and advocacy, he continues to play a vital role in expanding opportunities for youth across Central Ontario, ensuring more students can gain the skills, confidence and experiences needed to navigate their future.
