2021-22 Annual Report
Empowering a New Generation: Fulfilling our purpose
Introduction
About JA Central OntarioRising to new challenges
It’s no surprise to say that the 2021-2022 school year saw many changes, challenges and opportunities. Although students, educators, parents and employers continued to be affected by COVID-19, we were inspired by the hope, optimism and enthusiasm of our entire community this year.
From virtual learning and a 'new normal', to questions about what the future might hold - we continued to empower and support a new generation in this changing world.
Turning Challenges Into Opportunities
This year we launched a new strategic plan – Empowering a New Generation, setting out an ambitious vision to empower youth across our region.
Our Vision
A world in which young people have the skillset and mindset to build thriving communities.
Fulfilling our purpose
Fulfilling our purpose is absolutely key to achieving our vision. To do this, we:
- Adapted our learning experiences and approach to better reach and support students through digital learning.
- Continued to innovate, creating a unique experience to inspire hope and optimism in youth in an uncertain world.
- Activated our networks in new and exciting ways to build community connections and maximize our impact for students.
