JA Central Ontario Governors’ Dinner
JA Central Ontario’s Annual Governors’ Dinner is our premiere fundraising event, enabling JA programs to be delivered at no cost to schools or students in Central Ontario. The gala is a celebration of the great work of our volunteers and provides an opportunity for corporate executives to network and meet our students. All proceeds are go toward teaching entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial fundamentals to the next generation of business leaders. For more information on this year’s event, visit

JA Central Ontario Golf Classic
A perennial favourite, our JA Annual Golf Classic celebrated its 30th year in June, with 36 eager foursomes teeing off at the prestigious Mississauga Golf and Country Club – rated one of Canada’s best golf courses. The annual event includes a foursome, cart, lunch, beverages and snacks on the course, and hors d’ouevres and refreshments at our 19th hole cocktail reception. Student Educational Events

JA’s TITAN program gives grade 10-12 students the confidence to go after their entrepreneurial dreams. Students take part in an interactive online challenge where they become CEOs of their own company. They must create a business strategy and strive to succeed in a highly competitive industry. Prior to participating in the online challenge, volunteers from the corporate community facilitate a workshop around the key concepts that the students will be exposed to through the online challenge.

World of Choices
This one-day event brings high school students together with career mentors from a variety of career paths. Students learn about developing a personal brand, get a better understanding of transferable skills and identify potential career paths. Students also have an opportunity to participate in small group discussions with mentors where they can find out more about roles and opportunities in various fields. World of Choices is hosted by corporate partners and allows students the opportunity to experience life a corporate environment.

Through presentations and experiential learning activities led by 3-4 technology-based industry partners, TechworksTO will provide secondary school students with an understanding of the career paths and skills needed to pursue opportunities in the technology sector. This new event is being introduced in March, 2018 and will be hosted at the MaRS Discovery District.

Company Program Events

As part of the 18-week entrepreneurial journey students take through our after-school Company Program, there are a number of events we host throughout the year. These events include (but are not limited to):

  • The Student Management Training Event
  • The Company Program Trade Show – an event that showcases all of our student ventures and is open to the public
  • Interview Night
  • VentureON – our year-end program celebration
