Volunteers
embody the heart of Junior Achievement. Taking a message of opportunity and economic understanding to a classroom in your community, no matter what your profession, is JA in action.

All we need is your enthusiasm, life experience, and a willingness to teach children about how you took chances and went for the gold. Junior Achievement provides the training, curriculum, and a classroom ready to meet you.

Role of a JA Volunteer

Qualified volunteers, in partnership with educators, enter the classroom to teach Junior Achievement programs. In the process of delivering these programs, they help to shape the future career paths of students. JA volunteers act as positive role models and mentors by sharing personal knowledge and experience. They strive to enhance the personal growth of students through experiential learning and they demonstrate values such as:

Integrity (honesty, reliability, and ethical behaviour)

Mutual Respect (treat all individuals with respect and dignity)

Quality (strive for excellence and improvement)

Business Ethics (observe the standards and policies of the business, education and Junior Achievement communities)

Volunteerism (commit the time required to deliver Junior Achievement programs)

Other Volunteer Opportunities:

As a not-for-profit organization, Junior Achievement relies heavily on the volunteerism of individuals and companies in order to operate efficiently and cost-effectively. If you are interested in other volunteer opportunities, please contact us by phone at 416-360-5252 or by email at info@jacentralontario.org.
